The scent, though not attractive, is very clean, however the product works very well both pre and post shave, though I preferred to use it pre-shave only, and finish with one of the Ogallala products.

As previously stated: Wonderful product, but unfortunately does not share it's scent with the amazing tobacco-y Alt-Innsbruck lotion. This has a very pronounced citronella scent which to many people is now unfortunately associated with bug spray. Great product but a jarring scent which lasts if used as a post-shave application.

I received a sample of Alt-Innsbruck in my last order. The product feels VERY nice on the skin and is quite calming to irritation. The one thing I can NOT handle is it's fragrance. Definitely a "vintage" bouquet. Try a sample before ordering as it is a unique smell.

I have been using "The Art of Shaving" pre shave oil, and have found this to be an even better product.
