Easily comparable to Cremo Cream (see my review). Shaving my whole head I rarely get a nick and I don't use a mirror. I just keep rubbing and wetting to find stubble - a pea-sized drop does half of my head. With a more menthol-type scent, I would choose between this and Cremo solely on scent preference (the price difference is nominal).

I have mixed feelings about Anthony's shave cream. It does provide a smooth shave with no irritation. Very lubricating even against the grain. However it doesn't lather well and you have to use a lot to get a three pass shave. So compared with TOBS I find this more expensive, won't last as long, and there's no selection of scents to choose from. The actual shave is just as good so if you get it as a gift you won't regret using it.
