This cream is sold as a brushless, but i use a brush to apply it to my face more evenly and use less product. the people giving it bad reviews about not lathering properly, this cream doesn't lather, not does it say it will. It works very well. I have used many brushless creams and this is one of the best ones ive used, not very cost efficient compared to creams that can be lathered but for what it does and how it feels, it is so worth it! I use this and men science shave cream for days when i cant shower or do proper prep.

It's a runny thin product compared to shaving creams or other toiletries but got the closest shave ever with this product than with any cream tested lately. I think the key to this is the hydration so a closer shave is achieved. Use after a shower on damp skin and it shaves really smooth. The scent is not overwhelming but application is not possible with a brush. It's too thin but works great with just finger application. Don't expect it to lather either as it's not meant for that and it doesn't leave a heavy feel to the skin.

Very nice product if you are looking for something efficient and effective. I find it to work better brushless rather than with a badger brush. Doesn't have the richness of a Taylor or Trumper shaving cream, but it works almost as well at a fraction of the price.

I didn't like using this cream. It does a fairly good job, it feels like it is protecting the skin when shaving. Also definitely use a badger brush directly on your face, because it doesn't apply very good only with your hand. Also, the smell is not strong and disappears fast, but it smells horrible. Reminds me of PRC, a sealant compound used on aircrafts. I give it 3 star, because it does the trick and I would probably give it more if I wasn't for the smell. It removed the joy of shaving.

I found this cream almost as nice as Cremo. It provides a well lubricated, nice close shave but since I enjoy whipping up lathers from soaps and/or creams in a variety of scents, I don't think I'll be adding to to my rotation.

Received a free sample in an order from Frendrihan. Didn't read the reviews stating better application without a brush. I tried to lather with a brush and got nowhere. By the time I applied it to my face, you could barely tell there was anything there. Didn't enjoy that shave...

I don't know if I was doing this wrong, but I couldn't get this product to perform well at all. The product is a kind of thick cream that you squirt out and "whip up" with a brush. However, no matter how much water I added I couldn't get it to form a nice lather. It was either too thick and syrupy or too thin and watery. I even tried it with no water and applied it directly to the brush and then to my wet face, but that didn't work either. It's "super close" shave didn't shave very close at all. Imo, this product pales in comparison to Proraso shave soap. I do think I'm missing some trick with this, though. It says "apply" with a badger hair brush, but never actually says to lather it up. If that's the case, I wonder what's the point, really.

Surprisingly disappointing-- every other Baxter of California product has been amazing, but this stuff... oh man, I wish I could get a refund or at least an exchange for something else (even if it's lesser in cost). Whatever "protective cushion between the skin and razor" they claim there is non-existent. It provides a translucent, superficial thin layer of product (I really can't call it cream) that *maybe* provides no noticeable difference in smoothness during a wetshave. Long story short, save your money and buy another cream! I normally read reviews before I buy a product but I assumed a Baxter product would be of high quality so I just went ahead and got it-- that was a mistake! Anyways, if any Fendrihan employees read this... I'll gladly accept *any* other shaving cream in exchange for this stuff! Aside from the cream, I was very happy with everything else in my order and the shipping time was SO fast! (My apologies if this review came across as needlessly harsh, but this really had to be said) - Sanjay
