This one is tricky. It lathers well and shaves fine, but the scent has no character, leaving a bit to be desired. The overall experience is nothing more than average from a premium priced product, earning itself 2 stars. I'll be going back to Taylor of Bond Street when this one runs out.

I just had my first shave with the Bluebeard's Revenge Shaving Cream yesterday. First of all, I am an hardcore fan of Taylor of old Bond Street product so it's been a total shot in the dark for me ;-) Basically, it's awesome. First, the smell... it smells incredible. Pretty hard to define because it's some kind of a custom blend... but I can definetely find some leather, citrus and oak wood accents. Anyways, it's manly! And the fragrance is pretty long lasting, so if you use an unscented balm/aftershave (as I did), it will remain present. Second : the lathering... raises up pretty rich in just seconds. I think I used a little bit too much of water on my badger because it was really foamy at the beginning, but became creamy quite fast... I'll try with less water next time, it might lather faster. Third : the shave. The blade (astra platinum) glided easily, smoothly and my skin felt really moisturized. After 3 passes, no burning, no itching, no nothing except that amazing smell. Fourth : I will definetely buy the aftershave balm (order sent as we speak) as I am totally shocked by that smell and I want to have the full Bluebeard's Revenge shaving experience. Let's call this product the "Baby Skin for grownups" :) 5 Stars for me ;-)

What a great product and well worth the money. This help me get a closer shave with my Merkur 34c. It kept my skin moist even when I shave the foam off. It also has a great smell. Great Buy :)

There's a lot of hype on the net recently about this shaving cream and I have to say after using it it lives up to that hype. Whips up easily into a very nice rich creamy lather and goes on very nicely. Provides very nice protection as the blade glides easily for the entire shave leaving your face nicely moisturizer and irritation free. Scent is not overpowering and clean smelling. The lather also cleans off easily from your skin as well as your brush and shaver. All in all a great product that I hope Fendrihan will continue to stock.
