This apothecary-style shaving mug is carefully designed to help you whip up a lather efficiently. Its high, wide rim gives you freedom of motion while minimizing spills. White porcelain with black Fendrihan mark.
Many of our customers found that storing the shaving soap and/or lathering is much easier and less wasteful when using an Apothecary mug. The contoured contoured knob on Fendrihan's apothecary shaving mug makes for a natural and comfortable grip. It will fit 2 1/2" sized shaving soaps. Larger soaps can be shaved on the side until they fit and the soap flakes can be used to make an excellent, thick lather. Can also be used to make lather from shaving creams.

Sure, you can lather in any cup or bowl, but not as well as in a well-designed shaving mug. This mug is too small to let most shaving soaps reach the bottom, but that doesn't matter, as the soap can be brushed at whatever level it rests. For lathering, the mug is perfect (I have a Simpsons Emperor 2 brush) and a big improvement over anything else I have tried. And the price is right.

Great shaving mug. Very nice quality and beautiful finish with a classy Fendrihan logo. A bargain too considering Edwin Jagger sells the identical mug for well north of this price.
