Renowned for his hair tonics and perfumes, Pinaud established himself as the perfumer for the court of Napoleon III and created his first aftershave, Lilac Vegetal for the Hungarian calvalry.

This is the aftershave used at my barber shop. It has a great scent is not over powering. I've been complimented many times over the years on its scent. While I can't compare it to other after shaves, I think this particular product is great.
