I received a sample tube in my last order and I have never had a closer shave. Doesn't lather up well with a badger brush, but I don't think it is supposed to. Great product!!!

I received a couple of Cremo samples in recent orders and decided to give the product a try. I was really surprised at how close and smooth a shave this product delivered. It doesn't really lather at all, but then I don't think it is supposed to. You don't need to use too much to cover your face either. While I still prefer my mug and brush as part of my morning shaving ritual, I would consider buying a tube for travel.

This stuff is super great. Very slick. Don't try to lather it with a brush...it doesn't lather, use your fingers and work it in. Provides a smooth glide free shave. I use it as a preshave and follow it up with soap and brush which gives me a super close and comfortable shave. It takes time the way I do it but worth every minute. Like having a spa every morning.

great cream is you are actually using it right, the cream is not supposed to be used with a shaving brush since basically it's non-lathering. if used as God intended, by applying it with your fingers, it will work great, extremely slick and cushioning.

This is the best shaving cream I have ever used. It is super slick, softens the beard, and soothes the skin. It shaves as closely as a soap, but does not irritate the skin; the scent is inoffensive and short-lived. One tube has delivered more than 2X the number of shaves promised, and I have a thick beard and do multiple passes. In every way (except perhaps scent) this is the best shaving product EVER. There really is nothing like it.

I received a sample of this product in an order from Fendrihan, and I am so impressed! It is an excellent lubricant, and I ended up with a flawless shave after using it. The other reciewer is right in saying that it doesn't lather as well as regular creams, so keep this in mind. I also quite like the scent which is mild and unoffensive. I am planning to order the full size product soon.

This is a preliminary review, since I have only used this product once since receiving it yesterday. But I figure first impressions might be helpful to others who try it for the first time. First, this stuff IS slippery. My standard cream has been Nivea for Men Sensitive, and Cremo is slicker, though the Nivea is very, very good for a canned product. (It just has some chemicals in it that I'd rather not use.) It doesn't lather like a soap or some other creams (as stated), and for me that was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't expect mounds of meringue, but the small bit of lathering was uneven. I'm thinking either my technique or, more likely, the ratio of water to cream that I use, needs to be fine tuned. This stuff allows a second pass without adding more, which is good. And it seemed to protect quite well even when used with the heavy Merkur 38C with Merkur blade. Unless you get the angle wrong or jerk a bit, you won't have any cut or nick problems. I'm looking forward to working with this product. Some people don't care for the scent, but I didn't find it as much "piņa colada" as some bloggers state. The scent is faint and disappears when you're done and rinse off. It leaves the skin lubricated and soft, and I didn't even need to use an after shave balm. The only recommendation I would have is to make it available in a travel size. I will probably just squeeze a bit into a small Lock-n-Lock container when I travel.

I received a sample of this from Fendrihan when I made my order. The smell is mild and pleasant and reminds me of a nice fresh orange/citrus smell. I'm new to straight razor shaving, so take this with a big grain of salt: I wasn't that happy with this cream's performance, although it is quite slick. I think I'll be sticking with the shaving soaps I ordered as I find they perform better.

I also got this as a sample and used it for two shaves. I'm really disappointed with the lathering, it takes a VERY long time to build something usable, either with a badger or boar brush. Once I did build up a nice bowl it goes flat right away and I had to whip it up again half way through my shave. That problem may be exacerbated by Edmonton's hard water. I found that I actually had to apply it in sections, shave and then apply again on the other side, that's a bit inconvenient. The scent is okay, it's not something I would buy the product for though. However it is indeed very lubricative and reduced razor drag noticeably in comparison to Proraso.
