I received a sample tube in my last order and I have never had a closer shave. Doesn't lather up well with a badger brush, but I don't think it is supposed to.

I received a couple of Cremo samples in recent orders and decided to give the product a try. I was really surprised at how close and smooth a shave this product delivered. It doesn't really lather at all, but then I don't think it is supposed to. You don't need to use too much to cover your face either. While I still prefer my mug and brush as part of my morning shaving ritual, I would consider buying a tube for travel. Rating: |

This stuff is super great. Very slick. Don't try to lather it with a brush...it doesn't lather, use your fingers and work it in. Provides a smooth glide free shave.
I use it as a preshave and follow it up with soap and brush which gives me a super close and comfortable shave. It takes time the way I do it but worth every minute. Like having a spa every morning. Rating: |

great cream is you are actually using it right, the cream is not supposed to be used with a shaving brush since basically it's non-lathering.
if used as God intended, by applying it with your fingers, it will work great, extremely slick and cushioning. Rating: |

I also got this as a sample and used it for two shaves.
I'm really disappointed with the lathering, it takes a VERY long time to build something usable, either with a badger or boar brush. Once I did build up a nice bowl it goes flat right away and I had to whip it up again half way through my shave. That problem may be exacerbated by Edmonton's hard water.
I found that I actually had to apply it in sections, shave and then apply again on the other side, that's a bit inconvenient.
The scent is okay, it's not something I would buy the product for though.
However it is indeed very lubricative and reduced razor drag noticeably in comparison to Proraso. Rating: |

I received a sample of this from Fendrihan when I made my order.
The smell is mild and pleasant and reminds me of a nice fresh orange/citrus smell.
I'm new to straight razor shaving, so take this with a big grain of salt: I wasn't that happy with this cream's performance, although it is quite slick. I think I'll be sticking with the shaving soaps I ordered as I find they perform better. Rating: |
