The Dorco ST-301's are one of my favorites. I do not experience any tugging and it is very forgiving for a new wet shaver. For me and my beard type I get two superb shaves from this but have learned that three shaves per blade is out of the question. My setup is 34C HD, and Proraso White preshave and soap.

I tried these blades with two razors: Merkur HD34c and Merkur 15c. With the 34c, they where excruciating, but with the 15c they where perfect! 15c/dorco now is my favorite team. I have a very sensitive skin and I can shave atg each day without irritation. They last for about 5 shavings.

When I purchased my first DE set, I was given a very generous selection of blades. After extensively trying them all, I found the Dorco to have th ebest blend of closeness to smoothness. It didn't cut as close as others, but the trade off is less irritation after.

I have found that using these blade for about two weeks straight that I was pretty surprised by its performance, 3-4 shaves average. I rank it up there near Derby experience but personally found them a tad bit smoother. On the flipside I got one less shave than I would with a Derby. Over all it is a decent blade when your favorite blade is out of stock. From what I have seen it\'s the second cheapest blade on this site and for the money it performs decently. I do recommend this blade to anyone. However, I do realize that everyone\'s preference is different YMMV. I have found that sometimes the under-rated and cheaper blades are almost as good as the more popular ones. I think that anyone who is wet-shaving would probably agree even the cheapest blade is better than a cartridge blade. Also any blade on this site is better than the over-priced Gillette\'s at Shoppers or Wal-Mart in Canada!

Used this blade in my 1961 Gillette Fat Boy with Castle Forbes (cedar and sandalwood) cream brushed on using Fendrihan's pure grey badger brush. No pre shave prep except for a hot shower. First off, let me say that I am not a fan of the fat boy. I usually find it uncomfortable and jagged compared to the modern adjustibles offered by Merkur here at Fendrihan. That said, this blade works quite well in the vintage Gillette. Very smooth compared to others. I even attempted an ATG pass, which I usually avoid with the fat boy. All is well. Finished up with some witch hazel followed by a high end moisturizer. Will use this blade in the fat boy from now on. Thankfully I can finally get to use this old classic razor from time to time. FYI, I have light brown curly hair, blue eyes and a medium beard. The curly hair means I need to be very careful around my neck. Men of colour know what I'm talking about. I shave with great care around my neck, especially because I wear a collar and tie each day. This blade was ok for my sensitive neck.

Well I finished a week with the ST-301 in my 33c. I started on Monday and today (Friday) was the first time the razor just started to pull a little. Mostly around the chin. That said, these are really good. Not the sharpest in town, but the easy and smoothness of them is excellent. No razor burn, no nicks, just a very good shave. Given I don't take a great deal of time to shave during the work week (certainly not as long as when using my straight razors) these blades are perfect for day to day shaves. I used them with D.R. Harris Marlborough soap, Proraso Eucalyptus soap, and RSC shaving cream. All produced a close, burn free shave beating any Mach 3 shave. Great value blades.

Got these in a sample pack and must admit have been avoiding them, until this week. I have to admit, they are mild, and are not the sharpest blade in the drawer, but they do an okay job. I don't have to have a BBS every day of my life, and to be honest these did an okay job... not great, but not bad!

I enjoy that blade at first. You don't feel the blade on your skin and give a smooth shave. The only reason I don't give more then 3 star is for the longevity. In all the different brand I try, they are the one that get dull the quickest. For me they were good fpr only 2 shave, at the third one they usually start to feel like I removed my skin. For the same price range I will go with the Precision .

Far too mild for my sensitive neck areas, I would just completely break out with razor burn when using these. I found Astras to be smoother and sharper. In all fairness I've only been using a weishi razor. Maybe in something more aggressive these blades may do just fine.

Will cut you beard but not without yanking the hair by the follicle first. Gave me a moderate razor burn the first time I used them.

Avoid this product. Pull very much on the hair. I did not finish the pass with this blade and changed right away. I wont even finish the pack.

Out of my sample pack, these were the worst for me. Felt a lot of tugging and didn't cut very well at all. As always, your mileage may vary. I use Feathers as I find them the best, but these were definitely the dullest blade I have ever tried.

I recently ran out of astra blades from my sample pack so I switched to a pack of Dorco's I had remaining. My first shave was terrible! These blades pulled at every hair, I had never had that problem with my Astra blades. I almost switched blades mid shave. Safe to say I will not be using the remaining Dorco blades.

I got these blades as part of a sample pack along with Derbys, Astras, and Precision blades. Of all the blades I have tried (including Merkurs) I was the most disappointed with these. I found them to pull a lot. I need three to four passes to get a clean shave. My sixteen year old son (who's beard is not nearly as wiry as mine and shaves one every couple of days at best) did not like them either. I have two blades left in the pack and I most likely will not use them.
