I bought this as a second razor for myself a few months ago. It shaves pretty well once I honed and stropped it and seems to hold an edge decently. Sadly, this razor came with a pit in the blade right near the shank between the steel and the gold. Also, the final sharpening grind on the blade was not even and looked a little amateurish. Decent razor over all, I just prefer perfection when I'm spending this much.

This is a beautiful razor, except the sharpening process could have been better. It's been honed twice now and I still prefer shaving with my other 2 less expensive razors. It also has some staining on the blade that won't go away. Nice looking, lightweight razor, just could be sharper.
