DAM! These blades made my face smooth without any extra effort. I had a week's growth and only took 3 passes to get a decent shave. Thumbs Up

I decided to try the Feathers in my sampler pack after a few shaves (4 or 5) with some of the other brands. I find the Feathers give me the closest and smoothest shave with the least amount of "pull" on the whiskers. They are certainly my favorite out of the brands that came in my sampler. Having said that, I'm not sure why so many say these blades are inappropriate for novice safety razor users. Being a novice myself, I was nervous that using the feathers might be different from the Astras or Merkurs. They do not require any magical, secret technique and after my 5th or 6th shave with a still unrefined technique/routine, I've yet to nick myself. In summary, these blades outperform the other brands in my sampler pack (Astra, Derby, Merkur) and are my favorite thus far. In my opinion, there is no reason to "save" Feathers for when your technique is carved in stone. Lather up, take your time, don't apply pressure, and you will find yourself with a fantastic shave.

Feathers have gained a fearsome reputation as a super sharp blade which is not for beginners. I agree that they are a sharp blade, but honestly, you need to pay attention with any blade you put to your face. I find they provide a very nice smooth shave and only their cost prevents them from being my go-to blade. However, I always have some in my stockpile. Note: Black and Yellows are the same blade. Blacks are 5 blades/pack; yellows are 10.

Feather blades have achieved a kind of admirable notoriety for being the sharpest blade out there. This reputation has undeniable merit: remember, Feather also produces scalpels and other surgical equipment and presumably employs (at least some of) the same manufacturing technology in their shaving blades. You expect them to be ulta sharp - and they are. For some, this makes using them a rite of passage, something to be tried at least once to say that you did. However, there can also be some exaggerated silliness in all this too. Gentlmen, I am still waiting to encounter ANY razor blade by any manufacturer that is not deserving of caution and respect - they are, after all, razor blades! Everyone`s face is different, which means Feather will be the best choice for some, and not the best choice for others. No apologies required. However, I suspect that many will share my own experience that this is the best blade out there - period.

These are great, sharp blades and take your shaving to another level. I wouldn't recommend starting with these blades , as it's like learning to drive on a manual transmission. Once you get your technique down, though, this is a great blade to try. I consider these good weekend blades - perfect for when you have the time to focus, and get prepared for a crazy good shave. Of course you can use them every day - but don't rush - take your time and prepare with a good shave oil, or pre-shave cream.

These are the best Blades hands down. If you are a DE shaver who doesn't like the hassle of using a straight razor, these blades provide an extremely close shave with no irritation. What are you waiting for!

Using the Feather DE blades, in conjunction with the Feather DE Razor, is a shavers delight. It is a non invasive shave, and as close too perfect that you can get from a DE Razor. I own, Merkur, Weishi, etc., and this is the best by far.

These have become my favourite DE blade. Yes, they are =sharp=, the best and sharpest I have used. Some shavers have said they can be a bit rough and don't last long, but I have not found that. Any roughness I have encountered has been the result of sub-standard technique or a razor that appears to be out of alignment. And with good prep and attention to technique, I have gotten as many as 10 shaves from a single blade! If you are new to DE shaving I would get your technique down first, but really, there is no reason to wait for several weeks or a month or more, as I did, to try your first Feather.

I'm very happy with them. I get a close and smooth shave. They are a great every day shave. I usually use my straight razors on the weekend, but continued to use them over the weekend too without any problem. They are good for 7 days for me. I skipped shaving for a day during the week and again on the weekend and they had no problem chopping down a couple days growth. They are worth the price just for their long life. Forget this nonsense about so sharp you need to save them until you have lots of experience. You can nick and cut yourself with any razor. A very good shave, give them a try.

Sharp. No doubt about it, though for their price I'd like to see more consistency with their blades. About 8/10 are absolutely flawless but still those remaining 2 are utter garbage and basically need to be tried for one pass of the razor and tossed out. They aren't bad by any means, however I'm going to shop around to see who has the most consistency and matching this sharpness.

I try almost every blade that you can found on that side and I can said they are definitely the sharpest. In one pass I had a skin free from any trace of beard. They are also great for shaving the head. I will definitely recommend them. However I got some small cons. First, they get dull really quick, At the third shave they still shave, but they were really rough, I got huge razor burn on the neck area. Something that never occurred since I switch to DE razor almost 3 years ago. Second, the price. I personally don't think they are worth the huge difference price. For 3 time cheaper, I preferred to used the Precision blade, they give a shaving of almost the same quality and they last for 5 to 7 shave. I still gonna keep some for a special occasion when I need a really close shaving, but for me they don't do the trick for daily used. All blades I review I had used the same technique, soap, brush and razor, a Merkur 34C HD.

These blades keep their edge very well, and they are very sharp, but in my opinion they are just too sharp and aggressive for my skin -even on a Gillette Adjustable set at a 1. I do enjoy using these blades occasionally, but its not something that my skin can handle everyday shaves with. I give these a 4 -very excellent quality and sharpness, but maybe too sharp?

I am relatively new to wet shaving and started out with the Astra Platinums. A good blade, but I find that I have to change them to often for my liking before they lose their edge. With anticipation and some reservation I moved to try the Feathers. True to what I have read, they are very sharp blades. No major nicks or cuts with them yet, but I am making sure to really take my time. They seem to last a couple of shaves longer than the Astras and they definitely cut the hairs much more easily.

Decided to check out what all the fuss was about - ordered 2 packs. They are very sharp, but also very expensive. I have tried Merkurs and Rexall Brand (yes, rexall sells DE blades) in the past and these were noticeably sharper. I gave it 4/5 stars because of the cost.

You get what you pay for. These are the sharpest on the market. They are, however, so sharp that I would not suggest them for beginners or for those that lack concentration. Still, if used carefully, they work very well.

I do like Feather blades, but I can't say I love them and here is why: I will agree with other reviewers that Feather blades are very sharp, for that they score a high point, but unfortunately in my personal experience this blade is not a forgiving one, nor smooth one. I rarely cut myself while shaving, but with Feather I manage to do that more frequently than with other blades I use, and as I mentioned the shave with Feather seems to be a bit rough for me comparing to Astra blades for example (which are btw my favorites for now)

I have been wet shaving for over 20 years, and personally i do not like this blade. I will not dispute the fact that they are the sharpest blades on the market, but sharp does not mean they will be the best. They give me a monor rash and will nick on the 1st 2 shaves. It is important to have a good balance between sharpness and smootness. I prefer the Wilkinsons, Gillette 7:00 am and Astra Platinums.
