Feather Double-Edge Safety Razor, Butterfly Opening

I find this razor to be excellent for shaving anything but the face! It's not quite agressive enough to get a good face, shave, but for 'sensitive' body parts, it works a charm. Nearly impossible to nick yourself with this razor, even with a brand new feather blade in it. Highly recommended for manscaping! :)

I have several double-edge safety razors, including the Merkur HD, and this is my daily shaver. I have sensitive skin, and this razor is not very aggressive, so when paired with a sharp blade, it's a perfect combo for me. It's hard to cut yourself with this razor. If you're willing to spend a little more time, you will get an amazing shave out of this razor. If you have a really tough beard, you may want something a little more aggressive. Blade replacement is extremely easy and this razor is very well-made. The blade positioning is as good as, or better than, some more expensive razors. The styling is nothing to speak of, though.

After trying the Weishi that does'nt cut it at all for my skin, I tried The Feather with a Feather blade. Not agressive enough with the grain, but this morning, I did the first pass across the grain. I don't know what I did wrong, but I litterally slauthered my chin! Nick festival, but nothing an alum block and saliva could'nt fix. Better be careful with Feather Blades, because, they are SHARP!!

I bought this razor to be used mainly as a travel Razor; but the real reason, it is a butterfly that reminded me of my dads razor. It was so simple mechanically that I, as a very young child, was fascinated with it and would play with it; this was way before video game was invented and like every child at that time, we used are imagination alot. I did eventually cut myself and my dad then hid it from me. I always found it and from then on was careful not to cut myself again. This affordable Feather butterfly razor has a mix of plastic and metal, it is well made and does not feel cheap. It is an excellent beginners razor as well for one who is very experience. It is an excellent choice for someone who is making a jump from the disposable to DE. When I first used the Feather Butterfly razor, it reminded me of a disposable razor weight and plastic feel. I am ok with that because it is ergonomically well balance and it cuts very well. I only recommend that High quality razors to be used to compensate for the heft it lacks to effortfully cut; comparing to the weight of a quality, all metal DE. Oh, from shaving with a Feather Butterfly DE, I've discovered that I have a preference for long handles. Even though my expensive, high quality and heavier all metal DE cuts better, I still like this Feather DE razor; only when I use high quality razors. Its' appeal will be most likely to an entry level user or to a starter. For those who are use to heavy DE, you will have to get over its' light cutting feel to like it. The price is right and is an excellent choice for all.
