Each tub of the Gentlemens Refinery The Standard Shave Cream has been handmade using nothing but natural ingredients. Examples include extracts from coconut, lavender, sandalwood, and even more exotic plants such as the ylang-ylang. Together, these natural ingredients lend this cream its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, in addition to its light but classic scent. Its formula is also effective at producing a rich and generous lather that cushions the skin and lifts up the hairs to ensure a smoother shave. Similar to other offerings from the same manufacturer, customers can expect this product to contain neither alcohol nor parabens.

Good grooming should not come at the expense of health. In fact, good grooming can serve as a cornerstone of good health. Such is the position of Perry Gastis, the master barber behind The Gentlemens Refinery. Said manufacturer is the result of his collaboration with natural chemists to produce grooming products that are both beneficial and comprehensible to their users.

Nice cream, delivers a good shave. Somewhat difficult to get the right lathering water/cream ratios at first; also the lavender in it causes some redness when used too many days in a row. Not worth paying almost double of TOBS for a similar performance product. The jar is classy though, looks good on the counter ...
