Product Description
The Goodfella Satin Black Safety Razor is a modern interpretation of the classic design. Industrial processes are used to ensure that each razor emerging from the product lines are capable of passing muster, while a manual finish plus unique numbering serves to make each razor unique. Stainless steel is the main material used to manufacture these razors, which is excellent because of the chromium-infused metal’s resistance to rust from the moisture that so often ruins razor blades. Although their heads have been chrome-plated for additional protection against moisture, their exteriors have been rendered in a color most reminiscent of black satin. Fendrihan also carries blade samplers to help customers find the ideal razor blades for this beautiful instrument.
Goodfella was first established because its founder experienced difficulties replacing a double-edge razor that had been presented to him. For a time, he experimented, sampling the range of shaving razors available on the market. He never did find something that matched his tastes, prompting him to found Goodfella in an attempt to build something to help other consumers standing in the same shoes.

Fantastic razor! It is not as aggressive as an EJ89, but it is incredibly forgiving which is very nice for those half-asleep morning shaves. If you have a wad of cash lying around and have no mortgages or bills, you should pick up this little beauty.

I decided to buy one because it seemed "pretty cool," with interesting engineering touches. When I first received it, I was initially a little dismayed as it was rather a lot less substantial than my Merkur Futur. However, with use, I have found that I REALLY like the Goodfella. Being light in my hand is a fine thing for getting a close shave. I'm quite a lot less likely to nick the chin with the Goodfella than is the case with the Futur.

This is absolutely my favorite razor. I didn't think I would find anything I would like more than my Merkurs, but this is the one. I usually do a 2 pass shave. I was shocked to find that I was able to get a smooth shave in only 1 pass. I realize that this is not an adjustable razor, but I have found that I can vary the closeness by either tightening the handle loosely finger tight, or firmly finger tight. Most of my other razors are loose until I tighten the handle firmly finger tight. This one has a mild tension on it during the last quarter turn. I would say this is NOT an agressive razor at all. Very gentle. Great for newbies. BTW, I found out that all of my handles and heads are interchangable. I find this handle a little on the light side, so I am using one of my Merkur handles with this shaving head.
