This is my first safety razor set... I can't believe I have waited for so long, the nicest shave I've ever had. The set is also beautiful! I also bought Taylor of Bond Street shaving cream which is more than perfect. I just love this set ;-)

This set provides excellent value. The 38C is an excellent razor; the silvertip is luxuriously soft (but I have no problem using it with hard soaps either) and is a heavy brush but you quickly get used to it (and it's quite the looker); the stand provides a very classy way to show-off your hardware (even if it is only you and the wife seeing it).

I bought this about 30 days ago after reviewing many shaving sets from various sites. Fendrihan is the only site that has this shaving set combo. It's a great set. The badger brush feels great on my sensitive skin. I love the length of the Merkur 38C shaver. It fits easily in hand and the handle's length gives me great control. The stand is heavy and sturdy enough not to bend or tip over by the weight of the brush. Highly recommended.

My wife purchased this set for me as a birthday present, because I'd been complaining for ages about how much I hated shaving with disposable razors and electric shavers and was fed up with buying cartridges for the disposables. I'd never shaved with a safety razor and am I ever glad I tried it. I can't compare this with other razors or sets, but I am getting the best shaves of my life...and the relaxing ritual of making the lather, soaping up and shaving has made my morning shave into something I actually look forward to. Oh, and my wife sooo loves the scent of that Tabac soap on me.
