This is my first DE and I love it. There's no doubt that cartrige razor will never get back in my shaving kit. It take 2-3x more time to shave myself but damn I like doing this. My favorite thing about DE is that a 5 day grow is no problem for your DE blade.

Wonderful razor. Much larger and heftier than the average DE you'll find. Well built and attractive to look at. Certainly on the aggressive side, a fantastically close shave in just a couple of passes. Unquestionably outperforms any of my vintage DEs (2 1930s Techs, 1940s NEW and 50s SuperSpeed). Butterfly opening works smoothly and properly and the razor comes in a nice box. This razor performs far better than it's price might suggest. I've heard of issues with Parker's quality control in the past but could not fault them for a thing with my 99R. Would suggest this to anyone looking for a good heavy aggressive workhorse at a great price point.
