This DOVO Bismarck Straight Razor is produced from top-quality Swedish carbon-steel. It achieves the highest degree of hardness, elasticity and resistance to wear. Handsome celluloid black handle with faux mother-of-pearl ornament. The blade is inlaid with an attractive 24K gold emblem reading "Bismarck - Best German Hollow Ground". The mirror finish blade also features gold plating of the entire spine, shank and tang.

After a lot of consideration, I purchased this blade as my first straight razor. I had never shaven with anything other than the plastic cartridge type. I know I will never go back to the cartridge type ever again. The Dovo Bismarck has a comfortable and controllable weight. It is extremely sharp out of the box. It is quick to let you know when you are not using it properly! I have about 10 shaves with it so far and have had to strop it only once. I recommend it to anyone really; a beautiful piece.
