I got this razor last week and wanted to give it a couple of runs before reviewing it. Let's start with the packaging. Mostly all DOVO razors come in a metal case. Nothing spectacular. On to the esthetics. The razor has a beautiful scales made out of olive wood. They are sturdy and so far very water resistant. The feel is smooth but the scales are not slippery when wet. Note: I don't really wet the scales on my razors anyways. It is important to keep them dry for safety and maintenance. The steel blade is amazing. So far it has held its edge without stopping for about 4 shaves. I will strop on my next shave. The gold detailing on the blade is beautiful. It is slightly less shiny than what appears on the website's picture, but that is to be expected from professional photography. The shave is very enjoyable. I'm not really sure what people mean when they say that a razor is well balanced... but this one feels balanced to me. It is very maneuverable. I guess one would be able to tell if it was poorly balanced. I would recommend getting this razor to anyone, beginner or seasoned wet shaver. I got the pre-sharpened one and it cam shave ready. However, this is a matter of personal preference. Good luck deciding.

This Razor is by far my favorite. It holds its edge incredibly long with daily stropping, and is my closest shaver. Very impressed with the performance of this product.
