I'm usually a DR Harris guy but decided to go all out for the more expensive GFT Almond soap which I have been using for a month now and find myself generally disappointed with it. The fragrance is great, (masculine, rich, and long-lasting) but it produces a thin and fragile lather that rapidly turns flat. Definitely not what I'm used to. I've tried everything within my power to thicken up the lather but to no avail. This soap is advertised as being beneficial to those with dry skin and, post-shave, my face definitely feels moisturized, but this feeling is negated by the soapy residue on my skin that is very difficult to remove. The result is that the moisturized feeling turns to dryness and tightness. I really wanted to love this soap, but IMHO there is no benefit to spending the extra $$$
