This is an excellent shaving soap. This soap has a subtle but intoxicating smell and works up a nice warm lather rather quickly. Another excellent offering from Geo F. Trumper!

I've tried a variety of shaving soaps and creams, as well as a broad selection of double-edge safety razors and many brands of blades. Although this soap may seem expensive, it's worth every penny. Reasons for my conclusion: This soap produces a rich, thick, durable lather (won't go flat on your face while you shave). The aroma is subtle, gentle and pleasant (most women don't like shaving products that smell as though they were intended for chemical warfare purposes). This soap goes a long way -- a quick few swishes of the brush on it generates enough lather to do three complete shaving passes with more lather left to spare. Building lather is so quick that this soap is a great time saver. The lather produced is so rich and slick that even brands of blades which tend to stick and skitter (not a good thing for the skin) will slide smoothly with this soap. Refills to the re-usable wooden bowl are available at a more modest price. The wooden bowl is classy and beautiful, although I would have preferred a label which was removeable. Will definitely buy this product again.

This soap is very easy to make lather with. It rapidly gives you a great lather with a pleasant smell to it. The wood bowl is nice too.

Great product, great lather, smells nice, not too strong an odor that it follows me around all day. Overall very good.
