I suffer from a mixture of coarse/curly hair and very sensitive skin. When I shaved with a Gillette blade and shaving cream, I wouldn’t get the close shave I was looking for and even worse my skin would be severely irritated by razor burns and ingrown hairs. I recently switched to a Merkur DE razor, purchased the Trumper’s sandalwood soap and skin food and a new badger hair brush. My shaves have never been closer, my skin has never been smoother, and I no longer suffer from irritated skin due to burns and ingrown hairs! Best part is that this skin food drastically reduces irritation and leaves your skin feeling clean and oil free!

This product soaks in and leaves NO oily, greasy film and yet it is soothing and moisturizing. I use it before and after shaving every day. The smell is subtle and refined. Simply a great product.

This product has an incredible smell. The scent of sandalwood is simply awesome. You don't need much at all, just a penny-sized amount is enough to cover the face. It doesn't irritate the skin at all and has a soothing feel. It feels like it provides a nice "coating" to the face. The one drawback is that it doesn't moisturize enough. It's a little watery and not creamy. My skin feels a little tight and dry afterwards and I have to apply another moisturizer. This could be just my skin, as I've read other people online find that this product works great for them.

This is an excellent product. The scent is great, but where it really shines is in it's application. You don't need much, so a 200ml bottle should last a long, long time. At first it feels a little greasy, but it absorbs into your skin without any residue. It's great at relieving razor burn, and really does feel like it 'seals' your face.
