Got this the other day and was very happy. I had a boar previously and was not impressed. Since the brush is such a vital part of a good kit, I'd recommend skipping all the synthetic and cheaper boar brushes, this is a step above for sure. Hardly any bristle loss so far, smell wasn't that bad either. Ideal entry brush for someone looking for a positive first time experience with wet shaving. Highly receommended

Like the other reviewers, this was my first brush. Arrived today, it was so fun to use that I want to shave again even though I just shaved! Although it's my first brush, I do believe it's perfect for my purposes, I.E entry level. Thank you fendrihan for supplying me with a new hobby!

This is the first brush that I have ever used for wet shaving. Not much to compare it to, but the lather it provides is great. Some of the shaving experts may have something to add for Super or Silvertip brushes. As mentioned, Pure badger offers more of a stiff bristle, which acts as a nice exfoliant during your initial lather. The price is right, and not many bristles have come out. (3-4 as far as I have counted...which should be expected with any new brush.) Give it a shot.
