$350.00 - Sold Out
Even amongst the unique brushes of Marco Finardi, the 135 stands out. Unlike many of his line, this brush makes no attempt at symmetry. From the front, the brush handle is dark, polished briar, rectangular and bold. But from the back, this brush is something else altogether. Black as ash and pebbled to the touch, the contrast is striking. But fear not, because utility never takes a backseat to beauty for these brushes. This dark side features a long, smooth thumb-indentation, giving the brush an effortless, entirely natural grip. Easy to hold and control with the slightest of motions, the dark wood and distinctive shape give the 135 a sophisticated, business-like appearance.
Although the word “artisanal” has come to be overused on many occasions, Marfin products are one of the few remaining items for which the term is truly deserved. Are they expensive? Sure. But worth it? Oh, yes. This is as close to bespoke as you're going to get.
Each Marfin brush is entirely unique. Handcrafted by a single man, Marco Finardi, and stamped with a unique serial number, your Marfin brush is guaranteed to be the only one like it in the world.
Marfin was founded when Marco Finardi, a graphic designer from Cremona, combined his passions for wet shaving and outstanding design. Drawing inspiration from luxury pipes, Finardi crafts the handles of his brushes from the finest Italian briarwood. His silvertip badger knots are made exclusively for him by Florentine craftsmen.
Each handle is created entirely by hand from selected pieces of briar. To ensure durability, the wood is soaked in citrus-scented Tung Oil, and then polished with caruba wax.
Finally, each brush is stamped with a unique serial number, and then packaged with a hand-signed note from Marco Finardi himself, bearing his wax seal. Buy a Marfin brush, and know you hold a truly artisanal product, crafted with passion and care.
