My final choice for blades & customer service
After more than a year of trying various blades, I finally settled on Astra platinum. Smooth, sharp, non-irritating (using an open comb), and keeping the edge for at least five shaves (I haven't pressed it further). Nice smaller boar brush
My only other Semogue boar brush is the SOC, so when I say smaller, that's my reference point. In comparison, this is still breaking in, while my SOC is old. The 1470 has a smaller knot, but a lot more backbone. It holds plenty of lather for a 3 pass shave.
