This is a great way to try out the range of pomades made by Baxter. Not only can you try out each pomade individually, but you can mix and match them to blend the traits. For instance, I like blending the Hard Water Pomade with the Cream Pomade because to get some extra hold without getting too much like a gel. Here's a quick run-down: Clay Pomade: This is seriously hard. It was almost impossible for me to get it in my hair and it has a piney smell that's a little overpowering. I can only see using this if your hair is completely unruly. Hard Cream Pomade: This is also very dense, but can be mashed between your palms to make it a little easier to apply. It tends to become sticky though and can be very difficulty to apply and comb through. Hard Water Pomade: This is the most like a gel, and has a slight glitter like toothpaste. Good for most hair and pretty easy to style. Cream Pomade: Probably my favorite of the bunch. It is closest to a grooming cream and can be easily styled. The only drawback is the light hold, which can result in fly-aways.
