Second razor purchased, great design and durable. The razor can be aggressive but is also mild enough for a good cleanup. I use it daily. Always recommend using sharp, smooth blades like Kai or Gillette Yellows with this razor. You can place a wide range of handles on this razor, but I keep going back to the original handle even when compared to my favorites. If you love Edwin Jagger like I do but are worried about the materials used or have had issues with Zamac, this is a great fit, more aggressive than EJ but a great choice. The perfect strategy with this razor or most other 3 piece razors for that matter is to simply pinch both sides of the head for an even fit when tightening the handle. Most people don’t realize that even the most expensive razors have a little play. Enjoy!
Very good shave for the money, especially in stainless. There was a head issue on the first razor and they immediately sent a replacement without issue. The handle is nice also. I found that KAI blades work best for me with the razor. The finish is excellent on the handle as well as the cap. I actually like the rough finish on the baseplate also, reminds me of a finish you would see on the old movie projectors and metal suitcases from the 50s and 60s. Some people like a mirror finish on an entire razor, that is fine, but is that worth hundreds of dollars? The shave ranks pretty close to my Edwin Jagger, but of course that is zamack. Also, blogs about stainless processed being the best on this razor or that don’t mention that all stainless steel will tea stain/rust if left wet for long periods of time. If you leave a wet blade and or wet razor lying around, it will tea stain/rust, no matter what. Don’t be ******, towel it off, takes 15 seconds. You have to do this with the 300 dollar ones too. If you make a mistake and leave any stainless steel razor wet before leaving for a vacation etc, just buff the thing with Flitz or something, not a big deal.
I love stainless steel razors
This is a great Razor, fell in love with the handle, the Merkur type head ?, I put a Gillette Wilkinson blade in got 5 smooth shaves with no nicks, no blade exposure fit and finish is on par for price, it's hard to pick up another razor now. So glad I bought the Adventurer Mk II.
Hard to believe you can find an all-stainless steel razor for this price. Some other brands charge more just for a SS handle--and this handle is nice. It has some weight and good knurling. The razor is smooth and gentle but efficient. I usually prefer a more aggressive razor, but this mows down the whiskers just as well.
