Da fat is da best. Nothing more to say.
This soap is very luxurious. A nice smooth shave. Fits perfect into my Fendrihan large mug.
I have been wet-shaving for over 50 years and I have tried numerous shaving soaps, many (if not most) of which have been rather disappointing in performance. However, Mitchell۪s Wool Fat is, in my opinion, is a top-notch shaving soap. Easy to lather, rich & ۪slick' and gives an outstanding post-shave feeling. It is not overly fragrant, but has a pleasing 'mild-baby-powder scent. MWF is one of my two favorites (the other being D.R. Harris - Arlington). I highly recommend that you give this a try!
Fat's reputation as being hard to lather seemed to me more of a myth. Was able to get a great amount of lather without a ton of work. Only think is the scent is very light but it opens up a opportunity for more aftershaves.
I got this soap about a week ago and have been using it daily since. Mitchells Wool Fat Luxury soap is now definitely #1 in my rotation. Let it soak for a few min in hot water. It produces a rich luxurious slick lather. Makes one want to shave twice a day. The scent is very clean which I like and your skin ends up very soft. I hesitated a long time before buying this soap because of the mixed reviews. I have several soaps now such as Trumpers, Harris, TOBS and Proraso as well as a few others and creams. This is by far the best. I have tried it with different brushes such as boar, badger, horse, synth and found that with this soap they all produce an outstanding lather. Don't hesitate like I did.
